Student Supervisors play an important role in supporting student safety and well-being during our Nutrition Breaks.
This position includes both indoor and outdoor supervision of students at all grades levels (K-7).
If you are interested in this paid position ($17.40 per hour) as an HDSB Employee (September 2025 - June 2026), we ask that you complete our Application Interest Form linked below.
Additionally, you will need to complete a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check, required for all HDSB staff. This can be applied for online through Halton Police Services.
We have an allocated number of year long positions to fill, and will also look to keep an occasional list of Student Supervisors to help fill in (paid) should a permanent supervisor be unable to make a shift.
A naming committee was established with student and parent/guardian representation to review each name submitted and present a shortlist of names to the Board of Trustees.
On June 3rd, we officially became Harvest Oak Public School!
What we love about this name is "Harvest" symbolizes the gathering of rewards after hard work and "Oak" symbolizes growth and wisdom.
Our students will grow strong minds and deep roots.
Principal's Message
Dear Families of Harvest Oak PS,
My name is Beth Tadman Hudson and I am the Principal of Harvest Oak PS. I am thrilled to begin this exciting journey of opening a brand-new school with all of you! View an introductory message from me as we kick off this new chapter.
My philosophy of learning and leadership emphasizes open communication and meaningful partnerships between families and school. By working together, we can create a school environment that supports student achievement and the well-being of everyone in our school community. Our team is excited to take the time to truly understand and connect with each student and family. In return, we want our families to feel confident that their children are seen, valued, and deeply cared for every day by our dedicated staff.
As we begin this important relationship with each of you, we are creating several opportunities for you to learn about and engage with our new school:
We are constantly in the process of updating our school website, where we will share construction progress and other exciting updates as our school takes shape. Visit our school site at hop.hdsb.ca.
Meet and Greets with the Principal: An opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to ask me any questions you may have will be shared.
Regular Community Letters: We will continue to keep you informed with updates on school start-up, bell times, staff news and more.
Follow us on Instagram: Stay connected by following us at @harvestoak_getexcited.
Join a Parent Voice Committee: Be a part of our pre-School Council committee and help shape our school community.
Learn about our school’s vision: We’ll provide more information about our school’s vision and focus, which aligns with the HDSB’s 2024-2028 Multi-Year Plan.
Over the next few months, I know that your children will be well cared for by the amazing staff at Falgarwood PS, River Oaks PS and Dr. David R Williams PS. Alternatively, you are NEW to the community and/or your child is new to JK- and have or will be completing registration with us.
As Oakville NE #3 PS continues to take shape, I want to assure you that we are working hard together with these school teams to ensure a smooth transition for all students.
Please note that students who will be starting Grade 8 in September will remain at their current school in order to maintain continuity into their graduating year. Busing will continue to be provided to these students.
We are happy to report that the construction of our new school is far along, and the building, upon completion, will be absolutely stunning! I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the planning committees who worked hard to ensure thoughtful details and concepts would be in place that will only enhance our students’ school experience.
We look forward to meeting you and your family very soon!
Kindly Yours,
Beth Tadman Hudson
Principal
